Grocery Store Music Group (GSM) is a record label, publishing company, and studio based in Los Angeles, California. Co founded by Josiah and Heather Rosen. They are focused on the development of artists and songwriters to create timeless music.
Josiah Rosen is a world class visionary who has a unique understanding of artist development as a songwriter, producer and A&R executive. In college he co-founded Augustana and was instrumental in signing a multi-million dollar recording contract with Epic Records and publishing deal with EMI. Augustana’s “All the Stars and Boulevards” went on to nearly certify Gold and their hit song ”Boston” reached #1 on Hot AC radio while selling 2 million units certifying RIAA double Platinum. Rosen toured with One Republic, Paramore and Panic at the Disco, then relocated to Nashville, TN, where he shifted his efforts to songwriting and artist development. He inked a new publishing deal with BMG and was recruited to A&R at Trauma 2 Records (famous for breaking No Doubt and Bush). Blessed with the gift of foresight, he continued to develop new talent by establishing the signature sounds for young artists like Rachel Crow and Ryan Kinder, who were signed to SCurve/BMG and Warner Records, due to Rosen’s efforts.
As a songwriter Rosen has celebrated releases on Andy Grammars Gold selling album “Magazines Or Novels” and Got7’s Billboard US #1 album “Flight Log Turbulence”. Josiah’s catalogue has been heard in over 250 film and TV placements, including theme songs for Netflix and co-producing a global campaign for Skechers. After decades of experience as a creative and executive, Josiah is primed to launch this new venture, Grocery Store Music, music that never goes out of style.
